How it works

From “owed money” to “agency on the case” in three steps

Most people chasing a debt have never hired a collection agency before. Here's exactly what happens, what we ask, and why.

01

Tell us about the debt

The amount, the kind of debt — an unpaid invoice, rent arrears, a CCJ — and roughly where the debtor is. Three short steps, about a minute, and nothing you won't have to hand.

Why we ask: agencies set minimum debt values, specialise by debt type and cover different regions. Your answers rule out everyone who wouldn't genuinely take your case.

02

We match your case against the panel

Every vetted agency is profiled the same way: fee model (fixed fee, commission or hybrid), minimum debt value, specialisms and coverage. We compare your case against the lot, like for like.

No pay-to-rank: every agency pays the same fixed introduction fee, so nobody can buy your case and we have no reason to steer it anywhere but the best fit.

03

The right agency gets in touch

Usually within one working day. They introduce themselves with their credentials, set out their fees and terms up front, and — if you instruct them — take it from there.

You're free to walk away at any point before instructing. Being matched costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

What it costs you: nothing. Here's who pays.

You (the creditor)

Being matched and introduced is free, with no obligation. If you instruct the agency, you agree their fees directly with them — set out in writing up front, before anything starts.

The agency

Agencies pay us a fixed fee for each introduction they receive. Every agency pays the same way, listing is free, and payment never affects matching — so there's no incentive for us to push your case anywhere but the best fit.
